the kiwibug

Hello, I see you've found my website...I'm Kira, commonly known as Kiwibug, a fine arts student at Purdue University tentatively reaching into the art world. I'm most fascinated by classical art, Italian Renaissance art and romantic realism, and I absolutely love to paint. Right now, my favorite medium is oils, and I often work on my paintings in my parents' garage (one of the advantages of NOT living in a dorm!) I took painting in high school for three semesters and learned a lot but didn't produce much that I want to share with the world, hence the lack of material on the gallery page. I'll eventually add more, of course.

In addition to painting, I'm also quite fond of digital artwork, and for some reason people seem to want me to design logos a lot. I also enjoy web design. I work for the Purdue University College of Science IT team to design and keep up their website.

I love to draw (obviously), read, ride my bike, and hang out with my buddies Herbie, Ruby, and Ellarina.

Also, although I've taken quite a few steps to make this website cross-browser compatible, there is a certain point where my eyes glaze over from code wrangling and I lose sympathy for IE users. The layout is essentially the same in all browsers, but if you want the maximum sparkle, get Firefox or something. Sorry.
